Clerk's Office Ceremonies
Whether in our office or by remote appearance, Deputy Clerks provide simple wedding ceremonies.
What To Expect
A Utah County Deputy Clerk will host a Zoom video conference with you, your witnesses, and any other guests. Using a simple script, they will perform a legal and dignified marriage ceremony with an opportunity for you to share your own vows and an optional ring exchange.
What You'll Need
- A digital marriage license issued by Utah County. You'll be asked for your marriage license number when you schedule the ceremony.
- Access to an online Zoom video conference. After scheduling your ceremony, you will be issued a link specific to your ceremony. Share it with your witnesses and any other friends and family you want to invite. Everyone will need to be able to see and hear one another during the video conference.
- Two witnesses at least 18 years old. They do not need to be in the same location as you. They will need their IDs (driver license, passport, etc.); the officiant will verify their identities prior to starting the actual ceremony..

Marriage ceremonies are available by appointment through the Clerk's Office during regular business hours. The office is closed on all federal holidays. For additional closure dates, please see our Contact page.
Need an Officiant for Your Ceremony?
If none of the available times work, your wedding can be performed by any authorized officiant physically present in the State of Utah. We list them as a courtesy, but they do not work for our office and manage their own schedules and fee structures.
